i am 17 i got bit by a brown recluse spider about 3 days ago and man did it hurt last night its realy swollen and red with purple streaks going out of it and a gushing hole about the size of a silver dollar and it hurts realy bad

i just got bit by a spider about 4 days ago.
at least i think i did.
i’m only 15 years old.
it’s definately swollen and red and around the little hole where the puss came out, is a dark purple circle around it,
about the size of a quarter.
i squeezed some of the puss out, idk if a was supposed to or not though?
i had to though,
it was hurting really bad and it was swoll and really tight.
so i just popped it.
it still hurts though
idk.
is there a better chance that its a boil rather than a spider bite?

I recently was bitten by a spider my leg was swollen and very discolored. I had fever and a great deal of pain, but I was driving when it happened and my kids had informed me that a spider was in the car. The doctors told me that it was wise to come to the hospital as early as I did, praise God only!

I was bit below my armpit, on my rib cage-about where my bra is. I lost my left breast. I went to the hospital 3 times, they wouldnt even give me antibiotics. They said it was staph or something. I KNEW it was a spider, I killed it inside my pajama top. Dont ever go to the hospitals in southern Ohio. I nearly died because it was so close to my heart & lung.

I”m not easily shaken by disgusting things, but this did the trick. This is exactly why I’m scared of spiders. A lot of people think it’s ridiculous but I’m sure a bite from a BRS would change their minds pretty damn quick.

my boyfriend and i were both bitten by a brown recluse in the same night. it was in our bed. a very dry summer apparently drove it into the house, and from what ive researched, the are “hiders”, not web spiders. I was bit on the left ass cheek, my boyfriend was bit on the thigh. a few days later i couldnt hardly walk, the pain from the swelling of the bite was brutal. a golf ball under my skin, it started to turn black, and my doctor prescribed a sulfer based antibiotic for me. within a day or two, my wound started to drain itself, but my boyfriend opted to pop his own, leading to a disgusting show of puss and blood and god knows what else was in there. my scar is about the size of the cap of a tube of chapstik. I’m not scared of being raped, or hit by a bus…but im’m terrified of these fuckers now.

All these people lived, and in fact fatalities from brown recluse spider bites, even when they do cause “necrosis of the flesh”, are rare. Generally it is only small children who are at serious risk of death. Though certainly adults can still sustain serious organ damage/lose limbs. I still can’t believe the first guy didn’t lose his finger!

seriously, i have a really strong stomach and am not easily out off but those bites…….. my god. did these people all live are they ok?!
